what We're All About

At A Journey Through we curate weeklong sailing adventure holidays through beautiful destinations, from the unique perspective of a sailing yacht.

We travel in style and comfort aboard 50ft sailing yachts, complete with a skipper and cook, air-conditioning and en-suites. Book by the cabin or the entire boat. Each week there is space for 6 guests across 3 double cabins.

We provide an amazing way for both new and experienced sailors alike, to come and enjoy the rugged landscapes and beautiful waters around the world. Turn your back on the crowd, come to inspiring places and connect with equally inspiring people.

The Complete Package

01.

expertise

You can rest assured that you will be travelling in complete safety, as all boats are skippered by professionally certified, commercially endorsed sailing instructors - competent to navigate, sail and moor, ensuring a relaxed week that you can enjoy to the fullest.

With local knowledge they will take you to bewitching swimming spots, recommend the best restaurants, the coolest bars and make your time with us fulfilling as possible.

A Journey Through only sail yachts that are less than 5 years old, have air conditioning, and are between 45-50ft in length. The boats give us unparalleled freedom and also maximum comfort.
02.

food

Food aboard the boat will be simple, fresh and healthy - served up by the cook each day.

Breakfasts will be a variety of fresh fruits, cooked meats, eggs, cereals and yoghurts.

Lunches are best kept light in the mid-day heat so a range of delicious extra-special salads are served up alongside meat and cheese platters - usually whilst sat in an idyllic bay.

The cook uses fresh produce that is as local as possible to the region we are sailing. They are also able to cater for all dietary requirements, just make us aware of them in advance on your booking form.
03.

comfort

From the moment you land we will look after you; our transfer driver will meet you at the arrivals gate and whisk off to the boat. We travel in style and welcome you aboard with a drinks reception and show you around your home for the week.

All our journeys are on 45/50ft sailing yachts, never older than 5 years old, with air conditioning and cabins have en-suites. There is space for six guests in three double-cabins and separate cabins for the two crew - so everyone has their own privacy when needed.

Hot showers and 240v charging points are standard, and where available WiFi is too. We can also offer extras such as special drinks packages if you have specific taste. For these extras contact us during the booking process.
04.

environmental CONSCIOUSNESS

A Journey Through relies upon the beauty of the natural world, but understands that these very environments are being placed under huge stresses by human actions. We want you to enjoy these idyllic locations but in a way that both sustains and also regenerates them.

This environmental consciousness has led us to try and reduce our companies/guests footprint; we carbon offset all flights, donate to local environmental schemes in the areas we operate in, and also endeavour to reduce waste, plastic consumption and litter pollution within our own actions as much as possible.

Find out more over at our environmental commitments page.

A Day In The Life

There's no hard or fast formula to the structure of days on an A Journey Through trips, they mould to the location, the weather and of course, the group aboard. Each day we will sail from one destination to the next, taking in the scenery, taking a swim and relaxing in the fullest way. Usually we will anchor in a quiet bays for lunch and take some time to read, go snorkelling or climb the nearest hill to take in the views. Decisions, decisions!

Our aim is to give you the most relaxing, joyful and interesting getaway – that’s why, accompanying the Skipper on all journeys, is a host who will cook simple and delicious meals using local ingredients, as well as ensuring that you're feeling looked after.

Our journeys are shaped and crafted by us to take you to amazing destinations. Not only do they give the sense of freedom and adventure that comes with a sailing boat but they are also about the towns and cultures that we visit along the way. For this reason, most evenings we will arrive in harbour before nightfall so that you have the time to stroll along the streets, mix with the locals and take in all the sights, sounds and smells of your new surroundings and pick your favourite place to eat.
