The colours of the ocean can’t be described, every possible hue of blue exists, with water so clear at the coastline that when cupped in your hands looks as if it is from a mountain spring.
The Greek Ionian is split into two parts - the North and the South. A Journey Through’s journeys are predominately around the South Ionian which takes in the islands of Lefkas, Meganisi, Ithica and Cephalonia to name just a few.

- Arrive to the boat in Lefkas. The crew will greet you with a champagne reception and show you around your new home.

- Kioni to Fiscardo, Cephalonia
- Fiscardo to Assos, Cephalonia
- Assos to Paleros
- Paleros to Lefkas

Wind and weather in September
September is the perfect time of year to sail in Greece. The temperatures are high but the stifling 40 degree days of the height of summer have passed, as has much of the ‘traffic’ in the area as the busiest July/August period is over.
The high-pressure atmospheric systems that usually sit over the region in those months also start to dissipate meaning that there is usually a more reliable prevailing wind.
